I am a graduate of the Hunter College School of Social Work, where I received a Masters of Social Work in 1988. I also hold a bachelor's degree in English from Vassar College. I have completed extensive post graduate training in the assessment and treatment of children, adolescents, adults, families and couples.
I began my practice in New York City, providing counseling services in a diagnostic group home, an outpatient mental health clinic, and in private practice settings.
Upon relocating to the Washington, DC area in 1999, I provided psychotherapy to a diverse range of clients with a variety of presenting issues as a clinical social worker at the Jewish Social Service Agency in Rockville, Maryland, where I also served as a clinical supervisor. I additionally provided mental health consultations in various settings within the community, and presented trainings and workshops to parents and teens on a variety of topics.
In 2013, I moved to the Hudson Valley, where I continue to provide psychotherapy to adolescents, adults, families and couples. Specialties include anxiety, depression, relationship issues, adolescence, young adult adjustment, LGBTQ, parenting, women's issues and grief and loss.
